Value stream mapping is a lean manufacturing technique used to analyze and design the flow of materials and information required to bring a product or service to a consumer. At Toyota, where the technique originated, it is known as "material and information flow mapping". It can be applied to nearly any value chain. RFID technology and cellular layout for tracking and providing real time value stream maps RFID-based facility performance monitoring (ORFPM) system is used for manufacturing environments to supervise the production flow in the facility. For it well operation in real industrial environment, ORFPM system is tested in laboratory layouts i.e. cellular layout. This paper discusses the development of the system based on the result from the laboratory implementations. By experimenting, it results that system is successfully transmitting data via wireless Internet, develop a database for transportation time and lead time, and automatically generate a real-time VSM.
